Hours

Opening hours

Casino of the Rockies opens at 11 am every day of the week. From Sunday to Thursday the doors close at 11 pm. On Friday and Saturday the floor stays open until 1 am. The resort and casino are open year-round.

All times are local Mountain time, the same clock as Alberta. That puts Cranbrook one hour ahead of most of British Columbia. The same applies to every time on this page. Holiday hours are not published separately, so check them on casinooftherockies.ca before planning a holiday visit.

    The floor

    On the gaming floor

Live table games are no longer offered here. The tables are electronic. The 19,000-square-foot room holds 210 slot machines, a count that includes E-Roulette, E-Baccarat and E-Blackjack, along with four choices of table games. Since the 2019 renovation, its design shows flora and fauna native to the surrounding mountains and foothills.

Quartz electronic table terminals are part of the mix. One terminal runs up to eight games, among them Baccarat, Roulette and Sic Bo, on a 26.5-inch HD touch screen. A player can move between games without leaving the seat.

The floor also has a full-service lottery centre. The casino also has a pool table, which needs no screen at all.

    Sportsbook lounge

    The sportsbook lounge

The PROLINE Sportsbook Lounge sits inside Kiʔsuʔk k̓ikiⱡ, the casino's restaurant and bar, on the dining area raised above the gaming floor. An 18-foot screen shows up to six games at once. Bets go through three PROLINE betting terminals. The casino calls it the first lounge of its kind in the region.

Live music and other events are held in the restaurant as well. The monthly calendar is posted on the casino's own events page at casinooftherockies.ca.

    House rules

    House rules at the door

    • Guests must be 19 or older, show government-issued photo ID at every visit and may be asked for two pieces of ID.
    • Proper attire is required, including shirts and shoes.
    • No outside food or drink is allowed, and alcohol stays on the gaming floor, not past the doors to the lobby.
    • A slot attendant can reserve a slot machine for up to 10 minutes.
    • Smokers use the smoking pit inside the casino or the designated smoking areas around the resort.

    Encore Rewards

    The Encore Rewards card

Encore Rewards is BCLC's card, and the same card is used in every casino in British Columbia. Membership costs nothing and is arranged at Guest Services. Members get 10% off dining at the casino restaurant and 10% to 40% off a hotel night at the resort, depending on tier. Points are redeemed at the casino's cashier, which takes the card together with government-issued ID.
